2023 Human Right Student Prize for the Contribution to the Defense and Advancement of Human Rights and the Rule of Law awarded to
Hombres Trans Panamá  

The event will be held on 29 September 2023 at 4:00 PM at Room 6, Complesso Beato Pellegrino.

The Human Rights Student Prize is an award given to outstanding HR and rule of law achievements. In its 2023 version, students of the MA in Human Rights and Multi-level Governance decided to give this award to the organization Hombres Trans Panamá due to their efforts to protect trans-communities during the Covid-19 pandemic.

This year’s Ceremony will personally deliver the prize to Mr. Nicolai Wald, the organization’s director.

We will have a conversation between him and trans activists in Padova in order to compare the challenges they face and reflect on Human Rights protection and practice.
