Job Description and Position
The Department of Political Science, Law, and International Studies (SPGI) is seeking Expressions of Interest for a Tenure-Track Researcher (Scientific Sector GSPS-04/C). Applications by candidates of any nationality are welcome.
The Tenure-Track Researcher position is tenured, full time, with a teaching load of 90 hours of classes per academic year and 350 hours per academic year for all the teaching duties.
The annual gross salary - net of employer-paid social security contributions - is approx. € 44.207,99 (gross).
The contract has a total duration of 6 years and is not renewable. Starting from the beginning of the 4th year, an evaluation procedure may be started for the transition to the position of Associate Professor, in the event that the researcher has obtained the qualification for this position.
Candidates with a record of excellent and internationally recognized research are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate is expected to teach at both undergraduate and graduate level.
Qualifications and Requirements
According to Italian legislation, eligible candidates must have three years of experience in a position which is equivalent to Tenure-Track Researcher. Applicants must hold the equivalent position at the time of application.
The evaluation of candidates is carried out, in different phases, by (i) the Department Faculty Board; (ii) a University of Padova central Board of evaluation; (iii) the Ministry Higher Education and Research.
Approximate starting date: The successful candidate is expected to start in September 2026, but the starting date is negotiable based on individual circumstances.
